Ainsley Polo - The Story
Ainsley polo is the creation of two brothers who share a world renowned passion and talent for horses and polo. There isn't a significant polo tournament anywhere in the world that hasn't had an Ainsley pony take part in; that includes the International Cartier Day at Guards Polo Club in the UK, the Argentinean Open in Buenos Aires, and New Zealand's own Polo Open. The world’s top players rely on Ross and Kel to provide high quality proven ponies year after year.
Their natural talent as horsemen and sportsman, along with their adaptability in the management and production of their horses and their deep knowledge and understanding of the game has led to their success and won them worldwide respect in the polo industry.

Kel and Ross AinsleyKel and Ross grew up in New South Wales, Australia where they spent all their spare time in the saddle, whether they were on the polo field; winning national show jumping competitions or representing their country in polocrosse; horses and competing were a firm fixture in their childhood. And they took this childhood passion through to adulthood and the sport of kings. Having worked in the UK, USA, Australia and New Zealand in their early polo days, they eventually settled in New Zealand 20 years ago, having found a plentiful supply of the key component to great polo - the best horses - the New Zealand Thoroughbred.
Kel set up home full time in New Zealand, looking after their ‘home farm’, while Ross continued to travel and play high goal internationally studying the game and how it was evolving in different countries. Enabling them to do what so few do, establish a top class base for the operation which is ticking over 365 days a year, while also continuing as players at the forefront of the competitive international game with its constantly changing dynamics. |
